The People’s Plot

We are growers with nowhere to grow! We aim to collectively develop new allotment sites in the city of Glasgow.

Our vision

A city where everyone has access to their own plot to grow, close to where they live. A world where access to land for growing is a right, not a luxury.

Who are we

The People’s Plot is constituted as a Community Benefit Society. This is a kind of member-led co-operative, where decisions are made collectively and any profits are reinvested in the community.

Our founding members met online in 2020, and currently all live in Glasgow’s Southside.

How do I join?

You can join us by completing a membership application form and purchasing a share of £1.

Once you are a member, you have voting rights and can help drive the co-operative. You will also be able to access our shared community plot at Southwestern Allotments.
